Ordering

Purchasers must be 18 years or over. Purple Wine will not sell or deliver alcohol to anyone who is, or appears to be, under the age of 18. By placing an order with us you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

Goods are only available whilst stocks last. In the unlikely event of goods you have ordered becoming unavailable, we will substitute goods of similar style and of equal or greater value. If you are unhappy with any of the substitutions you receive we will arrange collection at a time convenient for you and at no cost to you.

Purple Wine reserves the right not to accept any order.

Our minimum purchase is normally 6 standard bottles (75cl) or equivalent when ordered online, unless specifically stated against certain wines.

Delivery

Wines

We aim to provide next working day delivery, where available, provided your order is made and confirmed before noon. Orders taken after this time will be delivered with 2-5 working days. The exception is for goods which are specifically indicated as taking longer. Alternatively, you may suggest a preferred date in the future to suit you.

The order will be delivered to your preferred address or an alternative address you may have specified. Deliveries are only made between Monday and Friday. Deliveries are not made on public holidays. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands and the Scilly Isles will be delivered within 3 to 5 working days of your order being made and confirmed. This includes postcodes AB4, 5, 31, 33, 35-38, 44, 454, 51-56, FK18-21, G84, IV1-28, 30,36-36, 40, 52-54, 63, KA27, 28, PA20-40, PH19-22, 25, 26, PH30-41, 49, 50, TR21-25. Orders for the following postcodes, IV1-20, IV30-32, IV36, AB38, PH19-26, can be delivered next working day, but this is not guaranteed. The standard charge for delivery is £5.95. Delivery charge to the Scottish Highlands, Scilly Isles, IOW, IOM and Northern Ireland is £25. Delivery charge to a Scottish Island is £45. In the event of Purple Wine's delivery agents not being able to obtain a signature for delivery at the specified address, the goods will be returned to the depot and held there overnight – unless you have given us specific instructions to leave the goods elsewhere e.g. garden shed, with a neighbour etc.

Our delivery agents will leave a card to advise you that they have attempted delivery. They will attempt delivery again on the next working day. If delivery is not possible, the goods will be returned to the depot and stored for two days. If you have not arranged for collection or re-delivery before this time, the goods will be returned to Purple Wine. You may contact Purple Wine to arrange re-delivery. Purple Wine reserves the right to charge an additional standard delivery fee in this instance.

In the case of non-delivery, please contact us within one week of the scheduled delivery date. If we have no proof of delivery or the goods have not been returned to Purple Wine we will offer you a full refund or a like-for-like replacement.

Prices

All our prices are inclusive of VAT. A separate charge for delivery is highlighted at the point of purchase and in our literature.

Promotional offers and prices are as stated, with no further discounts after the promotion has expired.

Returns

If a whole case of wine is unfit for purpose, e.g. "corked", or damaged in any other way, you should contact Purple Wine to register your complaint in writing or via email at wine@purplewine.co.uk. Purple Wine will arrange collection of the wine at our expense. If the wine is damaged or unfit for purpose we will offer you a replacement or a full refund, including the delivery charge. Purple Wine reserves the right to refuse a refund or replacement if, in the opinion of Purple Wine, the wine is of an acceptable standard. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If any single bottle of wine is damaged or unfit for purpose in any way we will offer you a refund in full or issue you with a credit note to redeem against future purchases.

All complaints will be acknowledged within 48 hours and a full investigation will be completed within 72 hours. Each complaint will be treated as confidential and will be dealt with by a senior manager or director.

Credit, Debit and Charge Cards

When paying with certain credit, debit or charge cards, Purple Wine may be obliged to make a small administration charge. You will be notified of this when you place your order.
